Port Everglades

Port Everglades Cruise Transfers

Ten minutes from FLL — which is exactly why people get it wrong.

Port Everglades is so close to Fort Lauderdale airport that travellers assume the transfer takes care of itself. Then the inbound flight lands late, the terminal turns out to be on the far side of the port, and the boarding window closes. We book against your ship, your terminal and your boarding window, track the inbound flight, and take the luggage to the porter. Coming home we meet you after disembarkation, which never runs to schedule — so that wait is included.

How the pickup works

  1. 1

You send the ship, the terminal and the boarding window

The terminal number matters more here than at most ports — the far side is genuinely far.

  2. 2

If you are flying in the same day, we track the flight

A late landing at FLL with a boarding window at the port is the single most common way a cruise is missed.

  3. 3

    Luggage goes to the porter

Your chauffeur takes it there. Nobody drags a case across a cruise terminal.

  4. 4

Coming back, the wait is included

Disembarkation and customs run late. That is not your fault and it is not billed to you.

Where we meet you

Terminals 1, 2 and 4

The north side of the port, closest to the airport entrance. Ten minutes on a good day.

Terminals 18, 19 and 21

Royal Caribbean, including the largest ships sailing from Florida. Boarding windows are enforced to the minute here.

Terminals 25, 26 and 29

Celebrity, Princess and Holland America, on the far side of the port. Add ten to fifteen minutes over the north terminals.

Return after disembarkation

Customs queues at Port Everglades are unpredictable. We wait until you are actually out.

If your flight is late

We track your flight by number, so a delay, an early arrival or a gate change is our problem before it is yours. Sixty minutes of complimentary wait time on international arrivals, forty-five on domestic, counted from the moment the aircraft is on the ground — not from the time you were originally due. If customs takes longer than that, you will not find an empty curb: your chauffeur waits and dispatch tells you so.

Questions, answered

How long does it take to get from FLL to Port Everglades?

Ten to fifteen minutes to the north terminals. The far-side terminals — 25, 26 and 29 — add another ten to fifteen, which is where same-day travellers get caught out.

We land at FLL the morning we sail. Is that safe?

It can be, and it is the most common way a cruise is missed. We track your inbound flight and plan against your boarding window rather than the short distance. If the flight slips badly we tell you early enough to act.

Which Port Everglades terminals do you serve?

All of them, including the far side. Terminal numbers matter here more than at most ports because the port is long.

Do you take the luggage to the porter?

Yes. Your chauffeur takes it to the porter at your terminal.

Can you collect us after the cruise?

Yes. Disembarkation and customs at Port Everglades are unpredictable, so the wait is included — we meet you when you are actually out, not when the schedule said.
